devoted

i must must must share this with everyone.
and also to pen it down so i remember it too...
i guess everyone pretty much knew tt my past week was pretty much crap.
with lotsa lao sai and lotsa stuff bothering me.
i was asked to lead worship for cell tt week.
and it was difficult to just sit down and pray.
it was difficult to even stay awake some days.
had really bad headaches tt made me wanna sleep right away to get rid of it.
had weird tummy feelings...
super uncomfortable.
yes. so it was super difficult for me to just pray and ask for God's guidance.
i basically didn't have the strength to do so.
thursday evening, while i was bathing
i told God to help me.
i was like "i'm dying. i can't think straight, but i still gotta lead worship and i need to know what songs u want me to sing. what u want me to do... what u want me to say"
its amazing how God revealed to me so many things.
simple yet so amazing.
suddenly a song came to mind
"devoted"
goodness... i only knew the chorus of the song.
i didn't even know where to start
the only person tt came to mind was gloria.
i asked her but she didn't seem to remember anything.
thankfully, i got an sms from her about an hour later.
she told me the title of the song and album, who sang it and what colour the album cover was.
i searched for like 2 hours online to try to find the lyrics or the mp3 of the song.
asked a few friends to help me search too...
but after about an hour.
the only thing i could find was southside christian church's webby, and they only had the chorus of the song. no lyrics. and nothing i could work with.
after a while longer of searching, i went to my church's worship ministry's webby to search.
yay!
i found the whole song's lyrics and chords.
wonderful.
but i still couldn't remember how the verse and prechorus sounded like.
so i was like... uh i still gotta make a trip down to turmpet praise to listen to it.
anyhow. friday was supposed to be a non-schooling day for me.
but i still had to go back for extra lessons that lasted from 9am to about 2pm.
after which i had to run around and help a little with teacher's day decorations.
yang shen told me tt my excuse letter wasn't needed cause it wasn't even a compulsory thing.
so i was like oh, thank goodness, so i can go trumpet praise and hear the song.
so after i rushed around,
ran around in sch,
tried to get transparencies and help as much as i could b4 i left,
we finally made our way out of sch.
this is the exciting part.
everyone started complaining that the WEATHER was TOO HOT.
so we decided we shall take the bus to the mrt station...
even though it was just one bus stop away.
next.
while we were at the bus stop,
we started flagging this air con, single decked bus (i think it's 91)
we just kept flagging it, but it refused to stop
and the bus uncle kinda stared at us as he drove past, couldn't really tell if he was smiling, but i insist that he was.
anyway, he had tt qian zhou, kiam pa face.
yeah and i was pretty annoyed tt he refused to stop.
anyhow,
then next bus was a non aircon double decked bus and the bus right behin it was a double decked AIRCON bus.
of course, i would wanna take the aircon bus right?
(remember weather hothot?)
but weirdly, nobody else except for me wanted to take the aircon bus.
(and remember how we all complained tt it was hot?)
everyone wanted to take the NON AIRCON bus.
i was kinda like "why???"
and they were like let's save 10 cents.
or something.
but anyhow.
soo we boarded the non aircon bus.
and guess what?
i heard someone shouting from the top deck.
"JUDY!"
then i was like.. who's tt?
so i ran upstairs
and guess who i saw?
I SAW GLORIA!
this is so amazing i tell you.
and the first thing we said to each other was "I'VE GOT YOUR CD!" and "DO YOU HAVE TT CD?"
haha. yeah.
tt was really amazing.
exact timing.
prefect timing.
wonderful.
so she passed me tt cd.
just within tt one stop.
God showed His power.
imagine if i didn't have extra lessons.
imagine if it ended at 1:30 and not later.
imagine if if the t-cher's day deco was compulsory.
imagine if the weather wasn't sooo hot.
imagine if we decided to walk to the mrt station.
imagine if we boarded the single decked bus with the kiam pa face driver. (heehee. i apologize) imagine if we all took the aircon double decked bus tt was behind the non aircon double decked.
imagine if God didn't place everything and made everything go well in His perfect timing.
none of this would happen.
imagine.
also, i've been reading isaiah for qt.
and it's amazing.
cause i was praying and asking God to show me what he wanted me to say.
and guess what?
the passage tt i was reading, was just so apt! :)

Thanksgiving for God's Mercies

"O LORD, I will praise You;

worship for cell was good.
haven't led in ages.
and in the midst of all my troubles,
God showed me that He was with me.
and God showed me that even to the smallest details, He has it all under control.
Amen.
